I used patterns as a strong component to convey texture. I also found it important to use shapes that can layer to display depth like how the leaves are layered over the fruits and veggies. The fabric I added was to accentuate the organic nature of patterns within my drawing. Unfortunately, my favorite part of adding texture was swinging around the collar of my dress and it can only be detected in person.
