This artwork specifically is from the series Real Stories based on the story of one of her cats, Nina. This cat was placed on a chair with a long scarf around its neck tied to the back of the chair, this cat was placed in this position after the cat was stuffed after being strangled by a jealous man. This art piece is placed in a room full of artworks by Sophie Calle that have a long list of history behind them.

This artwork is based on her love story with her boyfriend. The intense love that they shared affected the relationship that Sophie Calle had with her cats. As the history of this artwork unfolds, it shows that intense love that her boyfriend had for her affected the love, relationship and connection between the two. After the boyfriend found out how Sophie Calle loved her cat more than her boyfriend, her boyfriend placed a condition of picking him or her cat. She picked her cat over her boyfriend which caused a lot of anger on her boyfriend. Her boyfriend chose to take revenge by killing her cat.

This artwork consists of her cat Nina being stuffed after being strangled by her boyfriend. This artwork is placed on one corner of this room. The back side of this chair is not available for the audience but the front of the chair is which consists a lot of matter.
