I did research for hours and hours attempting to find any form of audio that dealt with my research topic and my search honestly came back empty. I searched everything from women in 1970’s music to gender in Glam Rock, and everything I found was either an interview or simply radio shows playing series of songs. I found some great vintage interviews, with people like Joan Jett, that I think aided my research a lot. The only recording, which is the closest thing I found, features “glitter-glam music.” In the end, i chose two interviews to include in my radio pitch. Both feature a female rocker being asked degrading questions. I think they help me prove my point about gender in music.
