- This is the first picture that I took of my trashcan after few days I started to collect them. All different kinds of trashes are mixed together. It is not fun to see what they look like after they were mixed together for few days.

- Then, I started to go over them and carefully look through what is in it. I found an empty pasta box that I ate it all for the pasta, almost empty ketchup bottle, leftover zucchini, trash from Chipotle and Chick-fil-a. Also, there was a water bottle, used cup from Starbucks, etc. Most of them, actually all of them were food-related. From leftover to empty containers. I was surprised that most of my trash is something related to food.

- This is some garbage that I gathered for next week after I took the first picture. There is a box from a dessert cafe, two soup containers, and an empty instant ramen noodle pack. This week I ordered Chinese food and ate them over and over again.

- And there were lots of water bottles in my garbage because I drink bottled water nowadays. I used Brita filter before, but recently I figured that bottled water are better with tasting, and for convenient.
As I organized some of my pictures of the garbage, I figured out that there are lots of food waste, of food related trashes. Also there are lots of plastic containers, such as bottles, food containers, etc. These items can be recycled but my apartment only have one place to throw away my garbage, and they don’t have any recycling place. Even though I want to recycle plastic, paper, can and glass, I can’t do it because of the condition I am situated. So this is something that the building should fix, or make a change for sustainability.
