Full Written Self-Portrait

I enjoyed that the first part of the project was so personal. It allowed me to not only explore my own identity, but to learn about the identities of the other people in my class. It introduced a lot of different resources and gave me a chance to explore my identity in relation to them.

I also loved the freedom of medium throughout the project. For the written self-portrait, we could use whatever writing style felt comfortable and for the flag we were able to choose a medium that we felt would aid to our self-representation. It let me explore mediums that I often don’t get enough chances to showcase, like collage and wood.

Overall it made me feel more at peace with myself as a person.
