Anger to me relates to everything that matters deeply to all human beings. The exclusion for foreign immigrants and the segregation between human races all raise a deep anger in society. I took this series of self-portraits in my dorm with my guitar. In this atmosphere, I was composing, brainstorming and struggling. I could feel many emotions coming to me at one moment, and I wanted to express the anger on my guitar so bad. However, I was disappointed of my limited creativity and lack of talent. I started to doubt myself, but trying to hide the thought. For me, that was the very vulnerable moment that I felt anger burning deep inside my heart. This anger didn’t just raise for me, but also all the inequality and hatred that is going on within our society.
