[SEM 2] Simultaneous Perception: Walk in the Snow

  • Smelt cigarettes when exiting the school, entered into windiness and coldness from warmth
  • the wind was trying to get underneath my clothes
  • Looked down, there were smoked cigarettes all over the floor
  • Snow flakes flying in all directions were blown right into my face
  • the snow was flying into my eyes as well, blinding me
  • people were all curled up in their coats and hoods
  • the food carts smelt delicious, reminded me it’s still more than a hour from lunch time
  • chewed gum all over the sidewalk
  • there were salts in front of stores, when I walked on them, it made this crunchy sound
  • people standing in shops and stores looking out
  • the sky was foggy, you can only see a vague silhouette of the Empire State Building
  • Sound of traffic is always there in the background, car engines, sirens, honks… fused into one single noise
  • inevitably tasted some snow (since we were talking), bland
  • our heads were covered with snow
  • smelt cigarettes again when returning
  • most of the snow on our clothes melted instantly
  • I got even hungrier after the walk
