Respond of Fashion Studies Foreword Reading

I felt the connection of ideas that I have with Christopher Breward when I read the article. The idea of  “the loss of skill and an understanding of the value of craft” is a pathetic circumstance happening right now in the fashion industry. I have always believed in how fashion is expressive of a person and the designer. As Breward mentioned how fashion should be connected to individuals, and being expressive of minds. I strongly agree when he brought up the word of “poetry”. The aesthetic view  come across the emotion, and first be presented and created by designers. The consumers might see totally different idea behind the piece of fashion with their very own background. Then fashion falls into fragments, become the components that people can use to compose their own stories by wearing or using them. Its personal  builds on personal. The complexity these could lead to is infinite. How it’s been sentimental, simple, delicate, but also bold at the same time.

I am not quite sure about the “confirmation” one. Breward says fashion is about psychological expression. He gives the example of being in anxiety, vagueness. As I said above, I understand fashion definitely is a path of emotional thoughts. What I am thinking of is describing fashion as a more general emotion leading topic not only to depression sort of kind. In addition, the word “confirmation” leaves an impression of a conclusion. In my opinion, fashion is so sensitive, it should be described as ma more fluid object. However, if the writer could dig in and provides one or two example of how fashion expressed  the anxiety, that would greatly explain better.
