In the Big Apple, literally every single person has taken subway, and I am positive to say all people notice the crummy and aged subway throughout the whole city. To be honest, it is kind of weird that one of the most advanced, developed, and modern cities is still operating a really old subway. Since it has existed for over a decade, the subway is too old and dirty, which means it has to be reconstructed.
As we can see in the picture, the subway’s exterior is totally out-dated, and should definitely be redecorated again to not only attract more customers to take the subway, but also win a good reputation. Therefore, I researched and took abundant much more modern subways as an inspiration to design a fresh new design. I enlarged the windows around the subway, so that passengers can look outside more clearly. In addition, I chose silvery and cool grey as a basic color of the train. Nonetheless, it is pretty hard to draw the metallic, futuristic feeling, and harder to express my idea by scanning. To conclude, I do think the New York City’s subway system should be renovated, and using a new kind of subway instead would be much better.
