Bridge 5

studio 3-1studio-1a4y56fu4f7zs In the very beginning, I honestly had no idea what I am going to do, and all I wanted to create was changing the way that people view fashion. In the first stage, I had 25 sketches, but only few of them were useful, others were just too surreal, and could not be succeeded. I then chose two of them and started doing prototypes. The first two prototype were a little bit similar, the smaller one was 9 individual mannequins and rotated 360 degree by itself. On the other hand, the other one was one huge M-shape rotating platform that surrounds the couch in the middle. Later on, I think it would be quite interesting if I combine both designs. Therefore, my final project existed. There are three rotating platforms in total, and hanged on the three sides of the wall, so that they would not block viewers’ view. The biggest challenge was the wire was too weak to support the platforms, thus, I had to try many times and different ways to support them. Nonetheless, when I finished the project, I felt so proud of myself, and was super happy about the finished product. When I was researching in seminar class, I understood Barney’s background more deeply, and knew what it wanted to convey to its customers. I think when I know this company better, I can design more related to it. To conclude, I have learned so many things by doing each step. If I did not do these complex steps, I do not believe I will have this amazing project be done in the end.
