Multiple POV

In Integrative Seminar I Class, I was asked to get groups of four to conduct interviews with travelers at Grand Central Station. Record or write down our interviews. After the interviews, as a a groups of four we transcribed our interviews and created an outline for a short story together, based on the interviews at Grand Central. Based on the outline created together, each member of the group wrote ours own stories by using 750-1000 words.

This is the first draft of my Multiple POV: Bridge Project 3 ; Short Love Story

“It’s 5 pm at Grand Central, there is still 40 minutes until the Boston train which will

depart from the track 17. I’m starving mom! Probably I’ll eat a wrap in downstairs. I

know you also have a lunch with my dad in Union Square, oh how I’ve missed SF’s

weather, New York is so cold and I’m sure I’ll be freezing in Boston but well you know it

will be a great time to see my grad opportunities. Love you and kiss dad! ” said Ela. She

hasn’t eaten since her Fashion Publishing class at 12 pm. She would be starving at that

time. She decided to spend her 40 minutes by eating a wrap and Instagraming. She got

the spinach and goat cheese wrap from Jacques Torres in downstairs. While she was

waiting in line to pay for the wrap, the man next to her ordered a giant ice cream fudge.

She thought such a great order at 5pm in Friday. She got the wrap and went to sit the

bar table. It took a little while to take off her scarf and her sweater layers. She was so

lucky to have this seat, it was too crowded during the afternoon time on Friday. She was

also in the middle of the rush hour for Grand Central.

“Excuse me, can we share this area, I just have 10 minutes to chow down this nasty

giant scoops ” said John. Ela wasn’t to mind and said “ Yeah, of course! ” John gave his

hand to Ela and said “ John ” Ela answered him that his choice was such a interesting

order. John smiled and they started to talk about what they do. Ela described herself as

a senior student who is majored in Journalism and Design. John found her interesting

and explained his business. He said he worked for a yoghurt brand. After talking a little

bit about New York and general things about what they like to do, they didn’t understand

how time flew. There was 10 minutes until the train. They decided to walk through the

track together. While Ela was walking with John to the train, she thought that was such

a great and weird coincidence. She kept her giggling on her face and looked secretly to

John. John was checking his seat, and he was wondering if he would seat next to Ela.

They got the great relation between them, both of them enjoyed to getting know each

other.

Train started to move and 15 minutes later, John arrived next to Ela to ask her if she

wants to sit together. Ela was flattered by John’s lovely suggestions. John asked Ela

what was her purpose to go to Boston. Ela replied him that she’s going to Boston to

interview with schools for grad education. John surprised overtime when they talk, in

front of her smartness. John was on his track for a friend visit. He said Ela how he is

expert about Boston. He loves Boston, and asked Ela if she knew very well. The time

gone when they were chatting and they were almost arrived in Boston. It was really sad

time for both of them, they didn’t leave each other. They started to kiss and John asked

Ela if he would be able to see her in Boston. Ela suggested him not to plan something.

She was believing in puppy love. They decided not to tell each other where they go and

when they’re gonna go back to NYC. They thought that if this relationship is real,

whatever the reasons and coincidences are, they’ll find each other in either way. They

both spent their time in Boston, it was freezing, both John and Ela was dreaming about

being with each other in this cold day.

It was the time to go back to NYC, Ela’s eyes were looking for John in all train and she

felt little bit disappointment because she thought John could be a different one in her

life, she really liked him and he didn’t seem rude. Ela didn’t know at that time but these

are the same for John. John was looking for Ela during his train travel. John was so

sure and believed in himself to impress Ela. It was really sad moment for both of them

that they couldn’t be able to see each other. When Ela arrived the Grand Central, she

was still thinking how beautiful was 3 days ago in there. While she looked last time back

at her in front of the clock in the Grand Central for John. Unfortunately, no one was

coming from that direction. When she decided to go, John knew her from her back and

shout to Ela’s name. They hugged each other in front of the clock in the Grand Central,

and they leave together with happy smiles on their faces. The new beginning has just

started for Ela and John.

This is my final version of my love story
