Carol Phillips and Norman Orentreich – Clinique Bag

Carol Phillips and Norman Orentreich – Clinique Bag

For this assignment I chose my Clinique makeup bag. It doesn’t hold makeup or skin care because I normally use the same couple of products everyday which are housed in my bathroom, but it contained all of my electronic cords and doodads. I researched who the creators of Clinique were and found that Estee Lauder hired Carol Phillips and Norman Orentreich after they wrote an article in American Vogue titled “Can Great Skin Be Created?” They were recruited to help create the brand which was launched in August 1968.
