Catalina: I love the Japan one the best! I think the idea of you doing these digital pieces of childhood and memory can be very strong!! Is there anyway you can add your own stylistic choice to these digital recreations so they don’t look so much like a photograph? that should be something you should consider!!

Bea: I love you idea and how you want to work with memory. However will you just present the final images or put it together and add music or something? I find this idea interesting, now it just depends how far and how much effort you put it to have people see and feel your childhood and yourself!

Catalina and Bea both commented on my first piece which was my intended choice. Catalina’s comment about adding my own personal stylistic choice to avoid the pieces from looking like a photograph was really interesting. I decided to keep the illustrations as simple as possible due to it only being a rough sketch. However, it is true that I was intending on keeping the images with a similar style to my sketches. I’m now thinking of creating some sort of distortion to the piece to emulate a child’s perspective of the scene. Bea’s comment, “will you just present the final images or put it together and add music or something?” got me to rethink the entire concept of this piece. I was initially envisioning the end product to be just by its self as an image but now I am considering creating/adding a soundtrack to the piece to help viewers illustrate the  scene.

After receiving comments from my group members, I decided to definitely apply some sort of a personal stylistic element to the piece. This is most likely going to be applied as a distorted scene which aims to recreate the exact scene I actually hold in my memory. As of the music suggestion, I still have not made my mind up to apply it or not. However, I am leaning towards creating/adding some sort of a soundtrack to help recreate the scenes furthermore. Additionally, the idea of adding a soundtrack led to me thinking of creating a GIF as a  complement to the soundtrack.
