I greatly enjoyed the biofuel lab, it is refreshing to see such a positive discovery and use of waste into production. What struck me the most about the lab was the fact that this energy can be created, but has not yet been commodified. Although it is hard to design a way to use such a small amount of waste to produce such a small amount of power, I would be interested to look further into the production of a biofuel powered battery. I believe that this type of energy generation will be used in the future to store energy and create more eco-friendly energy. It is very important that we as designers begin to take a step back and really use all of our efforts to commodify eco-friendly products in order to reduce our carbon-footprint and make up for the lack of attention on climate change and other damage being done to our beautiful earth.
