In this exploration of narrative with a focus on utopia, the main character contemplates a world without small talk on the phone with her friend. I wanted to use a wide angle for the shots and a very full-frontal approach to mirror the clarity in straight-to-the-point dialogue. I also included pauses with blank screens to add a level of both drama and humor throughout. While there were some challenges I faced, such as coordinating a group of actors, eliminating background noise, sticking to an idea, and struggling with the time requirement, I enjoyed the open-endedness of the assignment.
