PROCESS:
I first created individual cartoon-versions of Britney at different stages in her career on illustrator. These stages include 6 past stages and 3 projections of possible career moves she could make and what that would entail. I suggested that she star in a biopic film that gained her huge popularity, only to feel forgotten in a few years. In an attempt to fix this, she’d start a twitter feud with Kim Kardashian that would only bring her criticism. Finally, in 2040, she’d release her final album before retiring to live out the rest of her life in private.

I then compiled all of them on a single image, overlapping the pictures and adding text.

CRIT NOTES:
While some people liked how the exclusion of certain features made each stage more of an icon than a portrait, others said that the eyebrows began to look like the eyes, which threw them of and was distracting. Otherwise, the readability is there, and the visual interest from the overlapping and scale changes keeps it from being a boring grid. Still, the edges were cut off during the presentation, which drew some attention away from the piece itself.
