Idea 1-
- Exploring time in the form of memories.
- We are who we are because of the experiences we’ve had, the memories we’ve created, the people we’ve met and the things we’ve learnt.
- I think my memories are the best way to portray the passed time in my life.
- Every moment in our life becomes a memory and we remember stuff because of the memories we have- Sans Soleil, “We don’t remember, we rewrite memory much as history is written.”
- For my project I was thinking of combining a photograph or painting with a video.
- The main subject will be me looking into a mirror but rather than seeing a reflection of myself, I want to substitute the reflection with a video or collage of my memories
- Showing how who I am right now is an accumulation of all the memories I have lived.
Idea 2-
- Rather than the role time has in my life and personality, this one is more about the way time feels as it passes- like my perception of passing time.
- Time is both cyclical and linear. The time in each day of our lives passes cyclically but each day passes linearly.
- This reinforces the idea of time being irreversible and unstoppable, fueling the fear of growing old
- Create an animation of the stages in life, growing old. Animation in circular motion- rolling forward on a straight line (representing linear time- life).
- The cycle eventually rolls into a straight line.
