Black and White Cityscape
Which piece in the graphic unit do you consider to be your strongest work?
I consider my black and white cityscape piece to be my strongest work out of all the above. This is because I believe that I was able to capture the concept of figure ground, as in certain cases the background becomes the foreground and vice-versa. I also think that there were strong repetitions throughout the piece, however it was not redundant nor boring. As for the literal symbol of the bicycle wheel, I think it was smartly integrated and combined into the second symbol which makes it seem as if it was one large image and harder to identify. Lastly, I believe that the vertical lines in the background of the work balances out the hands as i decided to rotate them into horizontal/landscape form, which makes it easier for the eye.
