I chose to put together photos that I have taken of the old/downtown from back home in my country Jordan. This may not be the exact representation of where I live and how I live, however this is what I feel most nostalgic towards. I am in a place where I miss finding places that have been around for countless years. I crave the essences of that place and the people that live in it, and the language that they speak and the things that they do . Living in New York now, it is so different. It is a modern city that is surrounded by skyscrapers and tall building around every corner. It is somewhat hard to find the authenticity and the culture that could seen, felt and breathed back home. And in that sense, I chose to base by project on this part of my hometown. I am nostalgic in the sense of authenticity and civilization.
