Place:
Place is an important factor to make one’s identities and the style of fashion. In my case, I came to America from Japan for high school, which deeply affected my personality and the style that I have in terms of fashion. After I came out of Japan, I started to think about my nationality and the culture of my country, which I believe happens to everyone who came out from their grown-up place.
Age;
I think age is also making our personality differences. If I think about my self in middle school, my personality and character changed a lot. We grow up consistently, and that is not what we can control. We learn from individual education and people around us,
Gender;
Gender is one of the biggest factors to make our identities, and everyone has an opinion on it. I identify myself as a straight man, and which related to my personality a lot. When I wear dresses that look fit to my body, I automatically pick the male cloth, and I feel comfortable by them. I sometimes wear women’s cloth that I can fit in, such as pants that I could not find the design in the men’s section.
Class;
Class is not a thing that I always think of, but I still think about the people who cannot afford food and medical support. I sometimes donate my clothes that do not fit me anymore to help anyone who needed. I only can do a small thing like donations, but if that helps people, I think it better than doing nothing. I sometimes think about people who wear clothes that I cannot afford it, but I usually do not get jealousy, I can wear something that fits my class, and I think it is fun to think about what I can wear and who I can coordinate better.
Ethnicity;
Ethnicity is something related to the culture, which influenced me in terms of fashion styles. I do not know if music can be a part of ethnicity, but I think music taste is deeply related to the fashion style that each of us has. To me, Rock music is the one I watch the live show of my favorite musicians, and I get inspiration when I make fashion items. Also, as a Japanese anime or manga, subculture must be part of my characteristics too.
Body structure:
I think that body structure is very important to think about what we can wear and what fits each body structure. Noone of us has the same body shape, and everyone has at least a bit of complexity. When I buy cloth, I have to try and see how it fit my body and think about the size and shape of it and pick the one that fits me the best.
