Our assignment was to make alterations on original advertisements. We were able to use different techniques to alter the concept, contextual meaning, and strategy.
In this advertisement, I took an original Volkswagen Advertisement and played with the current situation with Trump. Trump has created a lot of controversy regarding “minorities.” I wanted to express the damage that has been done since Trump’s inauguration.
The crinkled paper following begind the van symbolizes the damage that Trump causes everywhere he goes. He is on the move (in the car) to spread his immoral values. The text at the bottom “it has only been 3 weeks” expresses the chaos created in such short time, implying the situation is bound to only get worse.
