In this project, our professor grouped three students together based on strengths/weaknesses\Each member had to research/prove a macro trend based on the current market. We had to work together to combine each of our macro trends to create a ‘trend forecasting book’. In each section, we were required to explain our macro trend, create a color report, mood board, customer profile, customer mood board, etc.

My selected macro trend is ‘maximalism’ in an interior setting. Maximalism is the reaction against minimalism. It is the promotion of excess and boldness. Maximalism is the depiction of one’s personality and imagination through the personal arrangement and customization of prints, patterns, colors.
