For this project, the topic I am discussing is the relationship between an artist or creator and their fan; to what extent do the two truly know and understand each other? What is the role of the internet in this disconnect between the two? Such questions are proposed throughout this project. Electronic sounds and voices are used as a way to not only bring to light the unsettling nature of this relationship, but also to highlight the eery “closeness” that is brought about through means of social media and the internet.
The use of a live stream through social media itself serves as a means to further this idea, and to have the viewer/listener consider the implications of such online applications in regards to the connections made on such platforms.
