Work In Progress Final

This garment will depict my interpretation of a military ceremonial coat.  As a person who used to serve as the lowest rank in the military, (reserved forces) I decided to create the type of coat where these reserved forces would wear on formal occasions over their uniforms. I wanted to incorporate the the most important factor which is the silhouette, where it is almost tailored looking sharp and sleek.  The color grey plays an homage to the typical colors used in military wear. The buttons that are located on the shoulders convey a sense hierarchy where there are no stars, no badges but an empty slot for those decors as an indication of the lowest rank. The big pleats at the back of the coats are a sense of style and uniqueness I added as a designer.
