Time Map

Time Map

For my time map I decided to do the process of rolling a joint and smoking it. I think I clearly was able to present each step and show the process properly. I wanted to be able to incorporate humor and since everyone in the class is around the same age, I thought it would be something nice that everyone can relate to and laugh about. I wanted to do the whole project with pen so I knew that I needed something to pop and stand out, which is why I chose red. Instantly, your eye goes to the red points on the project, drawing attention to it.

I think that it is really interesting that Mitchell examines something that is so simple and quick to us in such a deep manner. Especially when she talks about our cognitive representation of time. She talks about how in order to understand time graphics we have to be able to understand our own cognitive representation of time. She examines how a sentence thoroughly which is so interesting because to us it’s a split second that we don’t think about. It just comes naturally to us.
