As a group, we chose Green-Wood Cemetery as our site observation.
- The reason we choose this location is that we want a place that is an open area. A place that has no restriction, free air and close to nature. The cemetery is the perfect place that suits all of our expectations.
- The Green-Wood Cemetery is located in Kings County, New York. It was founded in 1838.
- What is our “object”? — In the seminar class, we chose the dried leaf as our narrator.
- It is positioned as the dried life in the cemetery, we wanna give the viewer a new perspective of experiencing the life cycle. So as the weather changed, the dried leaf experienced different temperature from the outside world.
- We also depicted the details of the sounds that have been surrounded it for a long time, we wanna to bring the similar atmosphere that the souls beneath the gravestones would also experience.
- Besides the dried leaf, we will also film the gravestones, the church and the lake in the cemetery to build up the solemn and mysterious atmosphere.
