Final Statement:
ICU is a mixed media installation that explores the extent to which occupation can influence one’s identity. In this piece, the viewer is placed in the shoes of the occupied. You stand in front of a mirror, however, the reflected image is of 73 different versions of you. Placing the viewer in such a situation alters their view of themselves, their surroundings, and their perception of time. The mirror strips away the viewer from their control over their senses, as it distorts their usual view.
