For my 20 minute listening, I sat outside of the University Centre at 3 in the morning. The larger the dots, the louder they sound to me, the further up the piece, the closer they sound to me. The blue dots shows the constant background noise that it always present regardless of the time of the day. The red dots symbolise car horns, yellow for music, black for babies screeching, pink for people talking etc. I chose to go with polka dots or dots rather due to the fact that when I close my eyes and hear certain sounds, dots of colour enter my head? Much like when you stare directly at a light for too long and shut your eyes.
