Drawing Imaging – Six Plates Progress

 

 

The life drawings that I worked on were fairly varied when it came to styles and naturally, silhouettes, which was helpful in allowing me a variation when it came to creating silhouettes. Creating the silhouettes in Illustrator was quite the issue considering that I was ill and had missed the demo. I ended up using the curved pen tool and went a little overboard with the outline. I had created the silhouettes of the literal charcoal strokes which created rather interesting silhouettes. I tidied up one of them and chose that to use that the symbol. My thumbnail sketches explore repetition, scale, anomaly and asymmetry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The design principles that I chose to employ were anomaly, scale (hierarchy), asymmetry, contrast, repetition, pattern.
