Bibliography & Joselit| MP Project

Fiction:I want to create or continue the series of photos of younger kids that I know for example my younger sister and brother. I want to continue to create the same style of photographs. These false images will circle around hair, and outfits that were popular for us all as a child.

Non- fiction: The interview that I have decided to make are phone calls to each person who is in the photo. The questions that I am asking are in no particular order and the two questions that I all be asking that everyone will be answering are, “Do you know why Cidgy ( the second one to the left) and Brianna who is 3rd to the left who or what are they looking at? Other people that I also want to interview is their mom’s and my mom. After, looking at this picture I can describe several other moments where I was wearing something very similar to what everyone in the photo was wearing. I want to alter the photos and change the background as well. Some of the questions that I want to ask the mother’s are how did they know to dress everyone in the poofy dresses, and what started the tradition for young boys and girl’s to get their own bracelet and necklace.

Joselit Reading

What is the “art effect” Joselit refers to?  How does art effect you?

The “art effect” that Joselit refers to is the increase of art that is becoming a global impact to society, “…the “Power 100” articulates an implicit theory of art’s effects as an agent of globalization.”( The Art Effect). Personally to me art effects me emotionally because I love to hear the thought process of an artist, I get motivated to learn new methods from hearing how their art impacted their work to look complicated or simple. Art should work in a way so that you can take any interpretation from it to help you understand and become inspired from what you see.

Define soft power.  What kind of soft power does art possess?

Soft power  is a tactic used between diplomatic or international relations without force. A strategy that can be used to better communicate with other nations, “Qatari strategy aimed at expanding its global influence through, first, innovative and proactive forms of director regional diplomacy.”

What is meant by civil imagination?

Art is a way of expression to actively communicate your creative abilities through your own freedom of speech.

Nonsense:

4. The official budget for buying art at New York’s museum of Modern Art was $32 million dollars but, how may pieces of art could you purchase since most art are overpriced and sold through different people?.
