For the Dye lab , I got water from the Bronx river , Central Park , and Hudson River. The rivers and the lakes were extremely polluted. Getting the water was a challenge for all of us
I was looking up clean water organizations in New York City these include charity: water, Safe water New York, Riverkeeper, doody free water project and much more.
I wanted to bring all these organizations into one building that would be government funded. They could all collaborate and work together instead of being scattered throughout the city.
I designed the building using pentagons, the tint of the glass is the color of the dye. This is symbolic to their mission of keeping water of New York City clean. I designed an office using recycled wood , the walls are taken from container homes. The windows are tinted glass. The roof had a system of solar panels for energy of the building. I completed the renderings of building using AutoCAD, Revit and Lumion.
