journal week 9

Cultural backgrounds and education effect decor when it comes to the decor. If you want to know if someone is wealthy ask if they have double doors in front their house. Wealth is usually based on education and what field you chose to study. Usually people with double doors have a lot of money, you could function perfectly fine with one but you have two. A middle class home typically would not have a double door because one works, and you can look at education as a way to justify income.  A college students decor is usually completely different from the decor of a lawyer with two kids. Different stages in life effect decor. Culture is a huge part of decor. Where your family is from has an effect on aesthetic. For instance the interior of a traditional Japanese home is different in many ways from an American home. Similar age groups, location, culture all determine who has similar tastes. They all bleed into each other.
