Final Paper Proposal/Topic Choices
The two western fashion designer that I chose were the 80’s and 90’s. One of them was from Jean Paul Gaultier. He designed Madonna’s iconic cone bra looks in the 1990’s. It made its debut on the runway in 1982. It is something you don’t usually see in fashion. It was something that made history. Lately I’ve seen bras similar like this in famous music videos. One of the videos that it reminded me of was from Katy Perry’s music video, “California Girls”. It is nothing like the work I’ve done. It’s very 3 dimensional and very scandalous. Another dress I chose was from Princess Diana’s wedding dress by David Emanuel. It was a lace gown with a 25 feet train It was very iconic because it was known dress for the royal family.I chose this dress because it was very iconic in the 80’s and I enjoy wedding dresses because I enjoy looking at dresses for special occasions. Growing up I would watch Yes to the Dress”, the more I watch the show the more I learn about wedding dresses.
