For my visual narrative I decided to film this dream that I constantly have had for a few years now. I have, for a long period of time, like so many struggled with knowing if I am good enough and I find myself constantly dreaming about being in a better state of mind and talking myself through it or dreaming that my life style is more supportive of who I want to be and who I am becoming.
I used a program called pro tools to manipulate my voiceover to sound like I am underwater, I wanted it to make the effect that I am in a dream. I recored myself saying positive messages like in my dream as well as the negative thoughts that sometimes creep into my thoughts during the dream. I then filmed myself in my backyard in LA over spring break in the sun and I wore a white outfit to represent heaven or peace. I choose to also add me reading a book as well as putting lotion on myself to show self love and taking care of my physical self as well as laying the sun and reading which would be taking care of my mental self.
