PLANAR PORTRAIT

The painting process was a lot more calming and therapeutic than I expected it to be. I assumed that this would be a more challenging process as I am not well versed with painting. I did though find mixing the colors together to match the color I created on the computer to be quite difficult. The colors seemed to be the right ones while wet and being mixed and when I let the final picture dry over night i realized that some of the colors came out a lot darker or not as light as I intended for them to be. But overall it was a great experience and I think I would do it again

The process of setting up my planar exploration was a little difficult at first, I was unsure how to go about what colors and tones to use in order to create the shape of my face while also being able to keep the details that make up my face. After understanding what tools to use and how to use them the process being to come together a lot smoother. I am really happy with the final piece and think that the process was also a great way to understand what colors to use and where to place different ones in order to create the proper facial features.
