For the ring making, I got inspired by nature and punk rock culture. Firstly, I wanted to make the ring to look like a collaboration of natural and unnatural, such as metallic wire and the piece which is covered by wires. I used watercolors to add colors on bristol paper and stuck on cardboard. Then I  used a Glue gun to make it stable. I had these materials because I used them for other class work too. For the concept of the project which I should not use any money for this project, I learn the spending money is not always a good way to discover the possibility of artwork even for fashion design. Also, I was intending to use watercolor and make it looks mysterious and magical, so I  tried so many ways to use watercolor on different materials. watercolor is a very unique medium such, we cannot control everything, someway, we have to use it and let it go, and see what will happen. I used tissue from restaurant first, but it did not work well, because it was too fragile and I could not make it as jewelry. However, from that experience, I learned that all material has a different effect by using watercolor. I enjoyed the watercolor experiments the most. because  I had used watercolor before but I did not use it for designing something, so I satisfied with using it the most and make a final look of the piece.  The challenging part of this project was to put them together and make it stable. I tried to not use glue gun first but it did not work, it keeps failing down by its weight.

The function of this piece is to use it as a ring whenever I feel I like rock music and wear and fit into a particular group of people, such as people wear clothes and show that they like the culture of the specific genre of music. I tried to express that one side is dark and the other side is blight because that is how the society works and punk means to me is the freedom from all the restriction and suffering.
