Postcards from the Future (postcard project part 2)

final version

In this project, I was thinking about the future of my hometown 20 years later. My hometown is called Ota shi which is located in the countryside of japan I lived there for 13 years until I go to middle school to start. I moved out of the place because I got into a boding school in another place but I have so many memories there and when I go there I  feel here is the hometown for me. In my hometown, the city is developing and urbanize to collect more new people from other places, because the population is decreasing and there are more old people than young people. based on my research, the population of the city decreasing birthrate and aging population is a problem which the entire country faces, but especially in the countryside of Japan has a serious problem with it. when I grow up in the city, there was more green. there were rice fields across on the other side of the street. but by the urbanization, the place is covered by the shopping mall and grocery store, which is sad to me. I had so much memory in those places and it changed to a new place.

I tied to put how future changes from my memories of my city in this postcard design. I think that this postcard design is very abstract and hard to get the idea behind it, but I also think that it does not have to be understandable. sometimes abstract design makes different meanings to each person, and I think that is the purpose of this design and that is what I am trying to make in this project. That would be nice if someone can remind their memories when they see this design.
