Bridge Project 5: Framing Fashion

The relationship between what I have made and written was that they connected with each other. When  I wrote about David Bowie, I specifically wrote about his Ziggy Stardust fashion style which was gender-crossing and sex appeal.  So I made my garment with elements from the male suit- the suspenders with a boldly designed skirt. You will recognize me in my photoshoot immediately since I place myself in the middle of each picture. I decided the camera angle by the inspiration from some of the David Bowie pictures and poster, they are all sexy and creates a sense of mystery. I would like to style myself in women’s stocking as well, but I didn’t get a chance to run back home so I didn’t have them in my pictures. I selected the room 506 in our school because it was such a memorable place for me since I spent so much time working on my project inside and also with my friends. My inspiration for this picture was a photo shoot for vogue me. I saw the model using a sofa to portrait a glam yet dispirited mood so I thought that I could use this for my photoshoot. Luckily there was a sofa inside of room 506 so I did my photoshoot inside.
