Bridge 2: Peer to Peer

Crime: Viral Transmission

I came from a small village called ”Ire“ where the musical vibe had fulfilled the circumstance. I enjoyed listening music since I viewed it as a relaxed approach for me to realize the beauty of the world. The sensation of my ear was much stronger than that of my mouth. And in most of the time, I only communicate towards my listening ability rather than my speaking ability. I did not regarded myself as a weirdo of altering the function between vocal and auditory senses, and I certainly wanted to be involved within this type of atmosphere for a very long time.

Until a month ago, the government announced the village to be isolated by forcing the citizens to commit that we were actually a kind of new virus that existed in the society. And this virus caused people to lose their speaking ability. Thus I wanted to run away, meet more friends, and transformed them to be the same kind of person I was. I escaped to New York City, met several friends and spent days together. They were all nice people. They thought I’m dumb and were very excited telling me about NYC. Few days after, they began losing their speaking ability, unsurprisingly. I felt a little bit of satisfaction from my…creation? Then I left and searched for another group, so on. A week after, I was caught by the police, stated that I’ve committed a capital crime. I’ve been captured and stayed in the prison for almost a month. Police had isolated me from other criminals, though they’ve never told me when I’ll be released. And I was narrating down all the happenings, because they restricted me anything but writing.

Description

We made a combination of our face features for the mug shot. The mouth is eliminated because we want to emphasize the point that virus causes people can’t talk but only listen. And we simply wanted to present the idea of using listening ability instead of speaking ability as our personality. For the artifact, we used paper clay to make a bilateral sculpture of a mouth and a ear within a double sides of a rectangle base.
