– Inspiration

  • what is your nature source?

Elephant

  • why did you choose this source?

I’m really interested in the shape and form of this element. I also want to integrate texture similar to elephant skin. I want to make a really exaggerated headwear.

  • what is your inspiration from the museum visit?

I didn’t get much inspiration from the museum visit, but I got inspiration from the designs by Thom Browne.

  • what did you research on your own (ex: other head coverings/designers/costumes/etc)

I researched on the texture and silhouette of other head coverings.

– Function

  • what is the function of your head covering?

Protect head and front face from attack. The front face mask can be taken off by personal intention.

  • what is it supposed to do?

The mask will protect one’s front face and head.

  • where would you wear it and why?

It is unlikely to wear it in daily life. Because it is made for the warriors to wear in fight and war.

  • who is it for?

Warriors

– Fibonacci

  • where did you apply the fibonacci sequence in the form (not in numbers)?

On the top of the headwear, there are some trunks where I applied fibonacci sequence.

  • why did you choose that section?

I chose that section because it will have a better overall view.

  • how does using the fibonacci sequence in at least five forms on your head covering alter it’s appearance or purpose?

– Materials

  • list the materials you are planning to use for this project

Rough and thick fabric, wire, thread

  • what will you use on the interior part of the head covering that touches the hair, head and face

Rough and thick fabric

  • what will you use on the exterior part of the head covering that is most visible on the outside

Wire

  • what is the planar material you are using?

Fabric

  • what is the linear material you are using?

Wire, thread
