Portrait of Madeleine
I used pen, color pencils, and markers for this artwork. I wanted to emphasize the theme of Madeleine’s memories. Therefore I drew herself that is composed of her memories. The memories are intended to be black and white because I don’t want the overall aura seems to be too colorful and blissful. The pieces of memories contained scenes of her birth, childhood, and memories with her mom. The snow and memories are fallen from the sky indicating her sadness. Moreover, left of her body is buried by snow.
The wall paper I drew is also a scene of Madeleine and her mom. It’s the scene which her mom is having illness and lying on the bed.
