Frightened by the quietness, the little girl caught hold of her mother. Showing no fear in her eyes, the mother firmly said “no”. Though that “no” sounded unshakeable, it still had some kind of agitation to it. The woman knew that she’s a traveller and not a local. Taking out full advantage of it, she was adamant on her words. In the back of her mind, she had full confidence that if she keeps on stressing on that “no”, no one would be able to show her the way to the back seat and yes she did succeed on it. With the will of getting equal rights, the woman was able to deal with the segregation gracefully.
