Field Action: Lower East Side Ecology Center Compost Centre in the East River Park.

Many people have been efforting to save the earth, and they have kept thinking how to recycle wasted products and reuse it. The place I went is Lower East Side Ecology Center Compost Centre in the East River Park, and many people gather here for cooperating to save the planet. In our class, we went to an actual place where food waste, wasted products, and all of the garbages are utilization, replaced, and separated collection. I was so surprised that there are so many garbages than I expected, and many volunteers and workers were doing really hard for the work; it seems like a systematic approach to solving the problems than I thought. As I expected, the smell of the place was so bad and sticky, but still, the areas were so clean and composed. However, some parts of the place were still unclean, and we could find embedded garbages in the soil, and all of the garbage mixed. I am always so appreciative to the people who are working there for saving the plant, and if I have a chance, I want to go there again as a volunteer. It was such a strange, but helpful field trip that I could realize the problem of garbage in the world.
