- About the project, Inspiration, and Research
I am inspired by the pants by my hometown, Daegu, which is the third-largest metropolitan city in South Korea, is the capital of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. Daegu is surrounded by large mountains and some small lakes and rivers, and also has over 125 parks and gardens. Therefore, it is fairly practicable and actually a very common thing for people living in Daegu to go hiking on one of the nearby mountains from their home or school and relaxing at one of the many parks and river areas.When I was in schools, my classmates and I took for a walk in the park or riverside once a week during physical education class. Also, I had been hiking once or twice per semester for my past 13 years school life in Daegu. In addition, my family and I used to go hiking on the nearby mountains which is 15 minutes from my house every weekend, and I could also meet many of my friends’ family and groups there. I had really fun there, so I want to make a collection with this city, so it would be a chance to introduce my city to the customers, also could encourage visitors to visit not only Seoul, but also Daegu, and go hiking while traveling. As I mentioned above, I am sure that men and women of all ages in Daegu go hiking or just walking around the natural places near their house since a little kid. These exercises are getting really into our daily life; and these have become a vital part of our everyday lives. So the colorful flower patterns on the pants are inspired by the mountains background in Daegu, and this pants is an active wear for Unisex, so everyone can wear it and the fit is really comfortable.
