For Bridge 3, I    explored how C02 emissions from factories (fast fashion specifically) are causing environmental damage and causing those who live in factory heavy areas to suffer from smog and poor air quality, impacting their daily lives and their health. My pieces are an eye mask stating, “I    want to see” and a mouth mask stating “I    want to brea”- representing how the air quality is so poor that those in these areas are unable to even finish their sentences.

The piece was up-cycled from an old top and the remaining scraps of fabric was left to a fabric scrap bin. Pictured is the original piece before and after deconstruction.
