Perspective and Space
Perspective Drawing: A technique used to represent three-dimensional images on a two-dimensional picture plane
Horizon line: A theoretical line that represents the eye level of the observer.
Vanishing point: The point at which receding parallel lines viewed in perspective appear to converge.
One point Perspective drawing: The Drawing method that shows how things appear to get smaller as they get further away, converging towards a single vanishing point on the horizon line.
Two Point Perspective: parallel lines along the width and depth of an object are represented as meeting at two separate points on the horizon line.
Example of One Point Perspective
Notice there is only one vanishing point
Example of Two Point Perspective
Notice there are two Vanishing points on the horizon line but they converge out of the picture plane.
