‘Expo Liu Bolin’

Liu Bolin is an artist who pursue to blend into the landscape. Lui started this collection when the government invested his property, he couldn’t do anything about it. He express his emotion of being uselessness, and that is why he is blended into the landscape as no one can notice him.  My favorite artwork of Liu is “Charlie Hembdo.” It was painted by high skilled painters, and it successfully blend into the wallpaper. While most of his work have models who are closing their eyes, this work has multiple models with opened eyes. I believe it emphasis the meaning of the object. This piece represents the Charlie Hebdo shooting; the models in the work are the survivors from the terrorism. I felt strong emotion when I saw this work. The models were blended in, but all of them open their eyes as they are trying to appeal the horrible event to the public.
