The global situation of COVID-19 is an unexpected damage to human society, considering the damage to the economy and the risk of people’s lives. Some countries such as France, Spain, and Italy apply the system of security to force citizens to stay home. The biggest difference between the Plague and COVID-19 is the existence of the internet. This new global technique helped the governments to act as quickly as possible. On the other hand, the internationalization of the world caused the virus to split wider than the 18th century. if it were three hundred years ago, this phenomenon would have ended in the territory of China. Finally, the government can’t control citizens as much as during the middle age. Because of the complexity of economy, law of rights, and the system of social media mainly made by internationalization, the government doesn’t have as much power as middle age. Even if we are in quarantine, we are free to do what we want in our own space, and we get to eat anything we want as long as it is available in groceries. The situation in each territory itself is not as serious as the plague, also because individuals can receive all of the news about the virus worldwide. The information says this virus can easily move around, and the symptom doesn’t necessarily appear, which makes it harder to detect the patient. This virus was founded recently, and that is why there is no medicine to it yet. Only the immune system of individuals can beat the virus, and that is a reason why it mainly gets elders and others vulnerable. The fact that the number of victims increased every day worldwide, and the power and every individual are aware of how serious this disease is, sovereignty had no option but to establish the quarantine, even though it will obviously cost huge damage economically. They forced every store, manufacturer, and restaurant to close their business during this period except for grocery, pharmacy, and doctors. It is true that this virus is a danger to all of us, so there is good reason to have self-discipline and stay home. In fact, there is a line in front of supermarkets because nobody wants to get close to each other. It is easier to have discipline than during the middle age because the updated information about this virus is available to everyone. The precise proto code depends on each territory, but the security in France is now activated as well. To go outside, individuals must write a travel certificate, even to go to groceries or running. Without the certificate, the police can ask you to pay a fine or possibly be arrested(my friend claimed to see someone got arrested on a street during this time). This system pushes individuals to stay home with pressure and the annoyingness of writing the certificate every time. On the other hand, it is better ecology-wise. Fewer people on a street may cause the rivers and streets to be cleaner and the fact that many manufacturers stop producing products during this period helps to clean up the air. This should apply to any place that does quarantine. In fact, it is already April and Sun is out, but I don’t feel the temperature as hot as last year. Perhaps I am sick or this virus is actually healing the earth.
